XP/2K/2003: Use driver verifier tool to isolate and troubleshoot driver issues

This tool can help you troubleshoot and isolate driver problems. Driver problems can cause your PC to behave erratically and impact stability.


The driver verifier tool is a powerful weapon that can be used to isolate and troubleshoot driver issues. For example, you can configure the driver verifier tool to force enhanced checking on non signed drivers. Here’s how to activate and configure it:

    1. Click Start.
    2. Click Run.
    3. Type verifier in the open textbox and press OK

    Thanks Mike. As long as I have been playing with windows systems, I had never heard of this tool. I'll have to play with it more! It certainly seems like a great debugging tool.
