Remove spyware that is running on your PC. Numerous applications and web pages install spyware without your knowledge or permission. Spyware collects and disseminates information about those using them. They can track your surfing habits, abuse your Internet connection by sending this data to a third party, profile your shopping preferences, hijack your browser start page or pages, alter important system files, and can do this without your knowledge or permission.

1. Download Lavasoft’s Adaware and/or Spybot.

2. Install Adaware and/or Spybot.

3. Run Adaware and/or Spybot.

4. Follow the instructions and remove the spyware components.

5. Reboot your PC.

    some says adaware itself is a spyware as well

    True, some say that AdAware is spyware itself. They also tend to run competing products that cost more money. I've used both AdAware and Spybot for two years in both testing and real enviroments, and found no indication of problems with them. This has not been the case for 90% of the other anti-spyware programs, even with the registered versions. It all depends on trust, and in my experience these two products have been the most trustworthy.
