How to use google as a calculator

Here are some hints and tricks of utilizing the calculator feature in Google.


Google now will do several calculator type functions.

Basic arithmetic:
Google: 1+2

Trig:
cos(1/2)

Factorials:
25!

Convert/calculate in different bases such as binary, octal, hex, and decimal:
Google: 32 in binary

Google knows constants:
e
pi
Planck’s Constant
Speed of Light
Gravitational Constant
Avogadro’s Number
Radius of the Earth
Radius of the Sun
Mass of the sun plus the mass of the earth

Google does conversions:
I’ve noticed that it at least knows these –feet, inches, miles, meters, light years, pints, quarts, tablespoons, teaspoons, gallons, liters, grams, pounds, angstroms and the associated metric prefixes such as centi, kilo, etc.
Google: 4 tons in decigrams
