Add this reg key to your domain script. This key will shut off the Windows XP SP2 pop-up blocker:

Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

KEY: SOFTWAREMicrosoftInternet Explorer

VALUE: New Windows

Data/Expression (REG_SZ): no (setting to "yes" would enable the pop-up blocker)

This is a REG_SZ type key.

Hope that helps you out. Works like a charm for yours truly...

This is bogus. I have been fighting IE6 popup blocker for almost a week. I work for a college and we have several pieces of software that don't work well with the IE6 popup blocker from XPSP2 turned on. I have tried the following:

1.) Done as above to disable it.
2.) I have added Exceptions in the IE popup blocker settings.
2.) Added trusted zones in the security settings.
3.) I have gone into the security settings and done custom settings:
I have even gone in and changed everything one by one to allow.
the darn thing keeps changing it back to MS defaults.
No matter what it just keep blocking things.

It is not this easy. I am not sure if it is an MS problem or not but if you check the forums, this is not an isolated problem. There are several competent Techs out there that can't get this one.
