Google Voice: How to Enable SMS-to-Email Forwarding

If you want to keep your email, voicemail and SMS messages stored in one easy to use location, your Gmail inbox is the ideal place. By enabling SMS forwarding to your email, you can use Gmail to receive and store the messages as well as reply to them.

1. Go to your Google Voice.

2. Go to the upper-right of the page and select Settings.

3. Select the Voicemail & SMS tab.

4. Go to the SMS Forwarding section.

5. Check the Forward SMS messages to my email checkbox.

6. Click the Save Changes button.
