Have just read these 6 years of help wanted for erasing a cd-rw disc, and no one has given a working solution. Not even Microsoft on their support website. I have tried all suggestions listed in this blog other than buying third party software which I can not afford to do. One would think that in 6 years Microsoft would have corrected this problem. At least my drive acknowledges that there is a disc, and a FULL one at that, but will not show the erase disc option regardless of all the clicking on and off mentioned in this blog. What a waste of a disc as it appears I will have to give it to my husband for using for target practice.
