Twitter: How to Keep Your Updates (Tweets) Private

By default, all of your Tweets appear on the public timeline. This means that they are visible to anyone. If you want to keep your Tweets private so that only those that you select can view them, follow these steps:

1. Go to Twitter and login to your account.

2. Use the menu in the upper-right corner and select Settings.

3. Under the Account tab, go to the bottom and check the Protect my updates checkbox.

4. Click the Save button.

Your updates (tweets) will now only be viewed by people that you have approved.
