these days your best bet is to actually buy one. i’ve been using DVDFab for a while now and it seems to be one of the best for encryption and also for Blu-ray (got a burner just recently too).

DVD Decrypter may work on older movies but usually doesn’t on the new ones (post 2009)

sounds interesting, Is there any decrypter you want me to use in particular or any free decrypter available will do the work for me. Its Kinda fun playing my my i phone with these interesting tutorials

Or you could use VisualHub once you have used Handbrake to rip the DVD which it will do.

Additional recommendations:

- The iPod and IPhone presets are your friend.

- Beta versions of handbrake exist on torrent sites that will rip and convert some movies that the older, public version of handbrake is unable to handle. If you have problems with a movie, try finding the newer version.

- The beta version of handbrake for OS X rips DVDs pretty well.

- MacTheRipper is the OS X equivalent of DVD decrypter.

- You can watch movies ripped to iPhone/iPod formats on your AppleTV but not visa versa.
