thank you – it worked. for those for whom it did not work – simply try it again and it does. the itunes prefs file needs to be 'reloaded into the memory'

Thank you! I've hated the genre screen so much that i haven't used iTunes in months.

I wonder why Apple put that window there with no easy way to remove it…
