Firefox 3: Access Your Gmail Inbox from the Bookmarks Toolbar via Live Bookmarks

Use Firefox’ 3’s Live Bookmarks and the RSS feed for your Gmail Inbox to get easy access to your incoming email from the Bookmarks Toolbar.


1. Open Firefox 3.

2. Make sure that you are logged into your Gmail account.

3. Click on the following link to bring up the RSS feed for your Inbox:

https://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom

4. Go to the top of the page and select Live Bookmarks from the Subscribe to this feed using dropdown.

5. Click Subscribe Now.

6. Input the desired name for the bookmark in the Name textbox and select Bookmarks Toolbar from the Create in dropdown.

7. Click the Add button.

Clicking the newly created bookmark on the toolbar will display all unread email in your Gmail Inbox. Clicking on the desired email will launch the email in the browser.

Right-clicking the bookmark and selecting Reload Live Bookmark will update the feed.
