XP: Change User Picture Displayed On Welcome Screen

Place a custom picture to symbolize a user on the welcome screen.


The welcome screen in XP is cute and fluffy… and we are all fish by default. If you don’t want to be a fish (or any of the other little icons), you may select a unique picture for a user on the welcome screen.

1. Select the Start Menu
2. Select Control Panel
3. Select User Accounts
4. Select the specific account to change
5. Click Change My Picture
6. Click Browse For More Pictures
7. Navigate and select the picture you wish to use and click open
8. You picture will be highlighted. Click Change Picture
