Digsby is a multiprotocol IM client that also acts as both an email notifier and social networking tool. Since all of this functionality takes up quite a bit of memory, you are wasting resources by leaving it running when you don't need it. If you took the default settings during the setup, Digsby starts when Windows does. To stop this from happening and shorten your system's boot up time, follow these steps:

1. Go to the menu on the Digsby Buddy List, click Tools and select Preferences (or you can right-click the Digsby icon in the notification area on the taskbar and select Preferences or simply select the Digsby Buddy List and press Ctrl+p on your keyboard).

2. In the left pane, select General & Profile.

3. Under General Options, uncheck the Launch Digsby when this computer starts checkbox.

4. Click the Done button.
