The Status bar on your OS2008 internet tablet informs you of various information such as battery life, Bluetooth status, etc. However, having too many items on the status bar can be overwhelming and look rather overcrowded. By removing the items you don't use, you are left with a clean, easily read status bar.

1. Go to the Task Navigator, select the Applications icon, followed by Settings and finally Control panel.

2. Scroll down to the bottom of the Control panel and select Panels.

3. From the Panels window, select the Status bar tab.

4. Uncheck the checkboxes for the items you want to remove from the Status bar. Ghosted checkboxes cannont be unchecked.

5. Select the OK button.
