Google’s java app for accessing your Gmail from your cell phone is a great solution for staying in touch when you’re on the go. However, the application likes to promote itself by placing a promotional footer on every email you send from it. If you don’t want your emails to be sent with the footer (Sent from Gmail for mobile), then follow these steps:

1. Start the Gmail for Mobile application on your phone.

2. Select Menu.

3. Select Go to, followed by Settings.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings window and uncheck the When I send mail, add “Sent from Gmail for mobile” to the end of my messages checkbox.

5. Select Save.

Your composed emails will no longer contain the footer.
