The Automatic Save function in Lotus Symphony can be a real lifesaver if disaster strikes and you lose the document you were working on. Once enabled, the IBM productivity tools save information every 10 minutes, but you can change this interval to be more or less frequent.

1. Open one of the Lotus Symphony productivity tools (Spreadsheets, Documents, or Presentations).

2. Click File and select Preferences.

3. In the left pane, expand Productivity Tools and select File Supervision.

4. In the right pane, click the checkbox beneath Automatic save.

5. Input the interval you wish Lotus Symphony to perform an automatic save in the textbox next to minutes.

6. Click OK.
