Vista: Screen Saver from Photos and Videos
Vista allows the user to create screen savers from his or her personal collection of photos and videos. This unique form of screen saver is a great and easy way to personalize a system.
Creating a personalized screen saver from your photos and videos is really easy in vista.
1. Click Start orb
2. Click Control Panel
3. Select Appearance and Personalization
4. Select Change Screen Saver

5. From the Screen Saver drop down box select Photos

6. Click the Settings… button to pick how and which photos and videos you would like to be displayed.

7. Click the Save button and then OK to finish selecting your new screen saver.

What about motion screen savers that aren’t photos? I just used this method for a pre-made screen saver I downloaded (a real SS from a secure site), and it is not selectable in any list and does not run using photos and choosing the folder it’s in. Sadly, this article falls short on displaying all of the necessary information.
