This still doesn’t work for me. I have done all the above steps and although the check box for Ringtones is checked from the iTunes menu tree when I go back into View Options still nothing. Right now I am beyond frustrated. How hard does it have to be?????

oh, forgot to say the edit/preferences tab is in the itunes menu tree

Go to edit/preferences and in the general tab make sure that under the sources heading ringtones is checked. That should do it.

i have got Itunes10.0.0.68 and same like jone ross i can’t find ringtones box so what to do??
