iPhone: Change iPod Menu Buttons

Posted June 23, 2007 by iphone_dude in Apple iPhone

In the iPhone iPod mode, the buttons on the bottom of the screen serve to allow you quick access to your favorite media type. If your favorite media type isn’t listed, here is how to put it there.

In iPod mode, the iPhone’s button menu contains common ways you might like to select your media–songs, playlists, videos, etc. However, to pick by other common formats you must go through the More menu selection.

If you want to place one of these other formats, such as Audio books or podcasts, on the menu, here is what you need to do.

1. From the phone menu, click the iPod icon in the bottom right hand corner.

2. Now in iPod mode, select the More icon in the bottom right hand corner.

3. Select the Edit icon.

4. Drag the icon you want displayed down into the menu. Drag it over the icon you want to replace. Here I show replacing Videos with Audio Books.
