iPhone: Add Contact to Favorites

Posted June 23, 2007 by iphone_dude in Apple Mac

Your favorites list is the quickest way to dial somebody. Here is how to add somebody to your favorites list on the Apple iPhone.

Getting to dial somebody from your contact list takes several key presses. By adding a contacting to your favorites list, you can dial them much more quickly. Here is how to do it.

1. In your iPhone, bring up your contact list.

2. Click the Favorites star icon in the left lower corner of the screen

3. Click the Plus icon in the upper right hand corner of the favorites
screen

4. The contact window will reopen. Select the Contact you want to add to your favorites list.

5. The contact will now appear in your favorites list.

This does not work on my Iphone-
When I open my contacts and tap the Favorites it goes to the Favorites list……not a + sign on my contacts list.

Same here- not sure what’s going on with my phone.

      • Hey, Guys.  I don’t know what you are doing wrong.  When you tap the Favorites button in the lower right hand corner, it opens your Favorites List.  From that list, you tap the (+) in the upper right hand corner to see a list of contacts which you can add to that favorites list.

It looks like the problem might be with the iPhone 4s only. I have the same problem as the above.

Same problem here, also using an iPhone 4. No + option in faves’

Works ok on my iphone 4S. After it takes you to the contact following the press of +, you need to select the number you want from the contact – it doesn’t just add the contact itself.

I have an iPhone 4 and even after hitting the plus, the contact is not added to my favorites list.
