AIM 6.1: Disable Display of AIM Today When Signing In

Tagged: Instant messaging By default, AIM launches your web browser to bring up AIM Today each time you sing in. This can get rather annoying if all you wanted to do was chat with someone. To disable the launching of AIM Today, follow these steps:
1. Open AIM.
2. Click Edit and select Settings.
3. Select Sign In / Sign Out from the left pane of the Settings window.
4. Under When I sing in, display the following, select the None radio button.
5. Click Save.
