Vista: Place the Windows Sidebar on Another Monitor

If you utilize multiple monitors on your Vista machine, the default settings place the Windows Sidebar on the primary monitor. Since this is to be your main monitor for viewing your programs and working on your documents, it makes better since for the Sidebar to be placed on your other monitor.


1. Go to the Notification area on the taskbar and right-click on the Windows Sidebar icon.

2. Click Properties.

3. Change the monitor that displays the Windows Sidebar by using the Display Sidebar on monitor dropdown to select the value of the desired monitor.

4. Click OK.

You now can better use your primary monitor while still enjoying the various gadgets you have installed on your Sidebar.
