Works fine, that is, new documents will typically start with the new chosen font. But the Calibri (body) and Cambria (headings) setting on font drop down box remains.

I hope someone can figure this out. I am using Word 2007. Nothing has changed. It used to work–I changed my default font when I first set up my computer. Easy Peasy. Now, no matter what I do, the change in default font will NOT hold. Next time I go in, same old default font. HELP??????

This doesn’t solve the problem. Whenever I re-open Word, it sets everything right back. Where is the template file located and what’s it called?

Agreed. It was not easy figuring out why it insisted on making it “(Body)”, and find & replace doesn’t match if it’s tagged as such.

Can someone please help me?!? I’ve tried doing exactly as instructed but everytime I reopen Word it defaults back to Calibri. Why won’t it allow me change the default?

Next to where you open the font window, you can open a window called Paragraph, where you can set your line spacing. Make sure it is single-spaced, with 0pt before and after. If you want a little bit more space between the lines without it being obviously double-spaced, you can add points in the before and after fields to give just that little extra room between lines.
