Posted February 13, 2007 by Rob Rogers in Microsoft Vista

Many of us are familiar with using the “Ctrl” key when selecting multiple files. Vista offers an alternative to this method. You can use checkboxes to select multiple files instead. To enable this option, follow these instructions:

1. Open Computer.

2. Press the Alt key on your keyboard to reveal the menu bar.

3. click Tools and select Folder Options.

4. Select the View tab.

5. In the Advanced settings section, scroll down to the bottom of the list of options.

6. Check the Use check boxes to select items checkbox.

7. Click OK.

8. Close all open windows.
