Serious photographers use the RAW format. The biggest limitation in using RAW is that operating systems typically do not handle these files very well.
With this plugin from Nikon, you can get all the imaging features that Vista has to offer with the strength of the RAW format.

This download from Nikon is only for 32-bit OS. I have a 64-bit and want to view photos raw.
