Vista Sync Center: Cannot Connect Mobile Device

My Palm Treo 750v would not connect to the Vista Sync Center after installation. Many of my co-workers are having problems connecting their mobile devices as well. What’s up?

Mobile device drivers have always, always lagged behind other hardware drivers. Cell phones and smart phones are developed so fast that the drivers are frequently several steps behind.

In most cases with Vista, this is the problem.

Update your phone or mobile device drivers first. If that does not fix the issue, try upgrading to a newer (but beta) version of the vista sync center.

Here the latest beta of the sync center that got my Treo connecting correctly.
