IE: Page by E-Mail / Link by E-Mail Disabled

Tagged: Windows One of my co-workers this weekend was wondering why these links were disabled or “greyed out” in Internet Explorer. Here is the easy fix.
If you do not have your default mail client set correctly, IE will disable these menu options. By setting a default mail client, these menu options will become enabled.
You can set your default email program by…
1. Open IE
2. Click Tools menu
3. Select Internet Options
4. Select the Programs tab
5. Select a choice from the E-mail dropdown combobox
6. Click OK
7. Restart IE
