Office 2007: How To Restore the Quick Access Toolbar To Its Defaults

If you are unhappy with the customization done to your Quick Access Toolbar, you can easily reset it to its default contents by doing the following:


1. Click the Office Button.

2. Click the Options button.

3. Select Customize in the left pane.

4. Click the Reset button.

5. Click Yes in the Reset Customizations dialog box.

6. Click OK.

Your Quick Access Toolbar will be returned back to its default state.

Alternative Method:

1. Click the small dropdown button to the right of the Quick Access Toolbar.

2. Select More Commands.

3. Select Customize in the left pane.

4. Click the Reset button.

5. Click Yes in the Reset Customizations dialog box.

6. Click OK.
