Tablet PC: How To Remove the On-screen Keyboard

If you dislike the On-screen keyboard on your Tablet PC, you can disable it by doing the following . . .


1. Click the Start button.

2. Select Run.

3. Type in: regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Ink\loginkey.dll"
4. Click the OK button.

To restore the On-screen Keyboard:

1. Click the Start button.

2. Select Run.

3. Type in: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Ink\loginkey.dll"
4. Click the OK button.

    may be you have not installed the windows in the “C” drive…. i did, and i have got success.

    If loginkey.dll is missing, open cmd go to the location “C:WINDOWSsystem32″ remove the system attributes for the file”osk.exe” by giving “attrib -s -h -r osk.exe”.
    Delete the file osk.exe after running the above command. On screen keyboard will be removed completely. Take a backup of the file before deleting if you want to restore at some point of time.

    It is a difficult work to remove the On-screen Keyboard from a computer.
