By using tab mix plus extension for firefox, you can change this.

1. Download and install the extension
2. Click Tools
3. Select Tab Mix Plus Options
4. Click Events
5. Click new tab
6. In the Load on New Tabs dropdown box select Home

if all you want is the new tab to open as your homepage. then click the home icon with the middle mouse button :-0

Its absolutely hideous you have to run a #%W#%in add on for this crap. Tab browsing 101. Wish there was another choice for browsing. Firefox is a utter pig however it is stable if you run few addons. I have 2 installed and hate the thought of having to run one for something this basic. HOW *#%&)(Q#%*(Q*#%)(Q#*%)(%)(*%)(*()Q%*()%umb
