You are quite the fuckwit, aren't you?

Having a client compromises the machine? Really?

The client is only active when it's being used, it wouldn't have a passive effect on the system. Telnet does the same exact thing your browser, IM client and every other network-related program does - establishes connections. That alone isn't enough to induce lag, and definitely does NOT open up any security risks.

If you're not talking about the client, then you're an even bigger idiot, as that has no relevance here.

But even if it did - most users are behind routers/nat, and the majority of routers ship with upnp disabled. So in most cases, the telnet server wouldn't be accessible from the internet without manually forwarding the TCP port to your LAN address.

Either way, get a fucking clue.

Seriously! I was forced to INSTALL telnet…and now I have to reboot?!! WTF M$?
