Access comes with several predefined formats that it allows you to apply to an entire form. To apply a format to a form with AutoFormat, do the following:

1. Click the Form Select button (in the upper left corner next to the ruler) or press Ctrl+R to format the entire form; select a control to format only that object.

2. Click Format, select AutoFormat.

3. Select the desired format from the list, a preview ot the format will appear in the right pane. You can click Options to omit applying the font, color, and/or border style to your form.

4. Click OK to apply the selected format.

Note: You cannot undo the initial application of an AutoFormat.
