Utilizing the ruler and guides will help you to align your content with much greater precision in a PowerPoint presentation.

To show the ruler:

1. Click View.

2. Select Ruler.


To show guides:

1. Click View.

2. Select Grid and Guides.

3. Check the Snap object to grid checkbox (if you want objects to be close together also check the Snap objects to other objects checkbox).

4. Under Grid settings, select the desired spacing of the grid from the dropdown.

5. Under Guide settings, check the Display drawing guides on screen checkbox.

6. Click OK.
