Outlook 2003: Give Your Email Message an Expiration Date

There may be instances when you want an email message to be inaccessible after a certain date and/or time. This may be due to security measures or to information that is only valid for a specific amount of time. Keep reading to find out how this is done.

1. After you have composed the email message that you want to give an expiration date, click the Options button on the toolbar.

2. Check the Expires after checkbox.

4. In the adjacent drop downs, select the date and time that you wish the email to expire.

5. Click OK.

Note: This works only if the recipient is also using Outlook.
