Microsoft Word 2003: Stop Requiring CTRL+Click To Use Hyperlinks

By default, Word 2003 requires that you hold down the Ctrl key whenever you want to visit a hyperlink. This is to prevents you from mistakingly going to web sites listed in the document. To disable this function and allow hyperlinks to be clicked without a need for the Ctrl key:


1. Click Tools.

2. Select Options.

3. In the Options dialog box, select the Edit tab.

4. Uncheck Use CTRL + Click to follow hyperlink.

5. Click OK.
