Disable Winamp Shell Extensions

Winamp 5 installs shell extensions to Windows Explorer for right-clicking multimedia files to play, enqueue, or to add to the Winamp bookmarks list. Use the steps provided in this tutorial to clean this up.

1. Right-click on Winamp’s title bar.

2. Click Options, and then select Preferences.

3. In the Winamp Preferences dialog box under General Preferences, select File Types.

4. Uncheck the Show Winamp in folder context menus in Windows Explorer checkbox.

5. Click Close.
