By default, IE7 opens pop-ups in a new window. What is up with that? If you are a tab user, it makes much more sense to open pop-ups in a new tab. Here is how to set that as an option.

Initially started by firefox, IE7 has continued the process of bringing tabs to the masses. Once you start using tabs, you'll never want more than one browser window open at a time.

By forcing pop-ups to open into new tabs instead of new windows, you'll increase your productivity and sanity.

1. Click the Tools button
2. Select Internet Options
3. Select the General tab
4. Click the Settings button in the Tabs section
5. Check Always open pop-ups in new tab
6. Click OK until you are back to the browser.
