Posted October 3, 2006 by Hack_Vista in Microsoft Vista

The new animations in Vista are truly beautiful. If you want to slow them down to really make your visuals pop, this tutorial will show you how to do it so that you can more easily enjoy the new look of your Vista screen.

Vista graphics are quite remarkable. From minimizing and maximizing to Flip-3D, Vista’s new look is impressive.

If you really want to flaunt the animation effects, you can use a registry hack to slow them down. Here is how you do it:

1. Open the registry editor.
2. Browse to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM
3. Create a new 32-bit DWORD value.
4. Name it AnimationsShiftKey.
5. Double-click on this to set the value to 1.
6. Log-out and back in or reboot to see the effect.
