You can make Visual Web Developer open much more quickly by having it open to an empty environment instead of going to the default Start Page. Read on to find out how this is done.
1. Select Tools | Options.
2. In the Options dialogue box, check Show all settings (in the lower left corner).
3. Select Environment | Startup.
4. Select Show empty environment in the drop-down for At startup.
5. Click Ok.
