By default IE will take a ton of room for temporary internet file storage. Here is how to decrease that amount of space.

This will work in IE6 and IE7.

1. Open IE
2. Click the Tools Menu
3. Select Internet Options
4. Click the General tab
5. IE6: In the Temporary Internet Files section click Settings
IE7: In the Browsing history section click Settings
6. In the "Amount of disk space to use" decrease this amount to use. Many people feel that there is no need to use large space than 10mb, for example.
7. Click Ok.
