XP: Creating Desktop Shortcuts for Restart and System Restore

Tagged: Windows networking You can easily add shortcuts to your XP desktop for Restart and System Restore by following these simple steps.
Restart button
To create shortcut: right-click on desktop, select New > Shortcut.
For location, type the following: shutdown -r -t 0
Click Next, name the shortcut “Restart”.
Click Finish.
System Restore button
To create shortcut: right-click on desktop, select New > Shortcut.
For location, type the following: %System%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe
Click Next, name the shortcut “System Restore”.
Click Finish.
