Vista now has an internal benchmark for tweaking and adjusting your system. Here is how to access it.
First I will describe the quick ways to access the infomation.
Real-Time Monitoring:
1. Hit WinKey-R to pull up the run box
2. In the runbox type perfmon.exe and click OK
Benchmark Report (shortcut):
1. Hit WinKey-R to pull up the run box
2. In the runbox type perfmon.exe /report and click OK
Benchmark Report (through menu):
1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. From the Control Panel Home select System and Maintenance
4. Under Performance Information and Tools, click Use tools to improve performance
5. Click Advance Tools in the left Task Column
6. Select Generate a system health report
Notes:
From the File menu of the Reliability and Performance Monitor you can Save as, Send to, or Priint your report for your records.
