How To Speed Up Nero Burning Rom in Windows XP

Tagged: Windows networking Upon installing Nero Burning Rom, you will notice that it takes a while for the program to come up. To speed this up, do the following:
Go to “administrative tools” in the control panel, and in the “services” list, disable the IMAPI CD-Burning COM service.
(Note: manual setting is not enough it must be disabled) It is the built-in CD-burning capability for Windows XP.
Once it is disabled, Nero will start up much quicker.

True this only shuts down the burning ability!!

Negative. This only shuts down Windows from burning the discs, not Nero. I’ve been using this for years.
