How to Install WGA Update Manually (for FireFox Users, etc.)

Posted June 9, 2006 by MickeyMouse in Windows

As much as users dislike it, Windows Genuine Advantage is now a required part of Microsoft Windows. This is the quickest way to install it. I use this method for FireFox systems and to roll it out across our network quickly.

As much as I personally hate WGA (and I really do), Microsoft is going to require it for additional updates. On the network I manage, I needed to distribute it as easily as possible.

How to Install WGA Manually:
1. Download the WGA Update from here.
2. Click Save if you want to save the installation package locally.
3. Click Run if you want to install the package on your local system.
