XP: Howto Install Fonts

Have you ever needed to install some fancy fonts for use in publishing or graphics work? This guide will show you how.

Install Fonts

1. Click Start then click Run and type: fonts
2. Press Enter
3. The font dialog box will open. All you need to do now is just drag the font files you want to install into the folder.
4. Alternatively you can doing the following:

a. click File
b. select Install New Font
c. browse and locate the font
d. press ok.

The fonts directory is typically located at C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
