MySpace: Hack to Dowload Any Song on Myspace

Tagged: MySpace MySpace allows you to listen to a lot of songs; however, only a few of them can be downloaded. This little work-around will allow you to download most music files.

Mysace allows you to listen to a lot of music, but they only allow you to dowload a select few of the songs. Here is the work around.
1. Goto the Mysace site that you want to download the music from
2. That page must have at least one song available for download
3. Open notepad
4. Right-click the download link and select copy Link
5. Paste this link into your notepad
You see something like this:
- http://mp3dowload.mysace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction= bandprofile.dowloadSong&bsid=OldSongNumberHere&song_name= Title of the Old Song Here &fid=bandid
6. Right-click the add link and select copy link
7. Paste this into your notepad
You will see something like this:
- asfunction:addSong,NewSongNumber^Title of the New Song Here
8. Now in the original URL just replace the old song number and old title with the new number and title. Paste this URL into your browser and click OK.
9. After several seconds, you will be prompted to download the song.
Here’s an example:

Addendum:
I figured this out independently while just playing around with Mysace. In the forums Brian Berris pointed out that he figured this out first. Props to him! If I had known it, it would have saved me some time. Feel free to check out his blog for a similar version of this tutorial.

this is really bad guys. Some artists are really trying hard to make a living out of thier music and this type of hacking is really selfish and unsupportive of the artists you “hackers” actually like.

Can’t downloading be legally done? You are saying that its “Hacking”, which, I don’t think I’ll be doing, because even though I would be able to download those songs, all the time I’ll have a sort of repenting thought in my mind. What products??? Those are low rate compressed songs lightyears from quality tracks…. It’s just a method to listen on the portable MP3 or ipod for some time and then decide if the album is worth the astronomic price…. The big problem are record labels not artists, if it were for artists then the CDs will be cheap and anyone will buy everything. But today very few can afford to buy everything…. Others have to make selections, and how do you do selections if not with listening and comparing?
I think I will thank anyone who makes my life easier, and if someone has problems with this then it’s on them to make better protection. btw: it’s on me to install an excellent alarm in my car to ensure it will be still there when I return back and no one cares if my alarm is not good enough, it’s on me, just on me.

You do realize that some songs created are one-shot songs- like where the artist does not survive the onslaught of the music industry. Then their songs are just there taking up space, and aren’t being sold by anyone.
