YouTube: Copy an Entire Playlist from Another User

Posted January 30, 2011 by Lê Hoàng in Internet

After finding a playlist full of favorite videos, it’s helpful to save them in bulk to your own personal playlist. There is no reason to save them one by one. Save another user’s playlist as your own.

1. Sign in to your YouTube account.

2. Go to the playlist you want to copy. If you have trouble finding the playlist, you can always change search options to only search for Playlist.

2. Click on Options at the playlist bar -> Save as a new playlist.

3. Name your new playlist at Playlist title and hit Save.

4. Your saved playlists can be accessed from your YouTube Playlist. From there, you can freely edit the saved playlists.

It appears this feature has been removed as part of the channels and home page makeover.

@Carl S. Gutekunst: No, it’s still there. I can still save the playlists using the above instruction.

I am no longer able to use the “Save as playlist” feature as well. Too bad, I used it a lot!

  • RO

Last month I was still able to use the “save as playlist” feature, but in December after Youtube revamped their webpage, this feature is not available anymore.

    • Errix

Exactly – why did they remove this feature? It was the single most useful tool on Youtube

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately these steps does not work when the original play list owner disable copying.
