CommentsUse your Sidekick to Admin your Shoutcast Server
Contributed by seamonkey420 on August 1, 2004 under HipTop SidekickThis is a recipe for a true geek with a sidekick.
Ok. I run my own shoutcast server so i can listen to my music from anywhere. But i didn’t want to setup a webpage to control my winamp/shoutcast server due to security and i would prob need to learn some php. This recipe explains how to use your sidekick as a remote to control winamp/shoutcast server remotely; not a real guide but more of conceptual outline.
Setting up the Developers Kit for the Sidekick/Hiptop
Contributed by seamonkey420 on July 31, 2004 under HipTop SidekickThis is a quick guide on how to setup the sidekick developers kit. Based on personal experience and hints found on the web.
The locations for where i installed the dev. kit and drivers and so on can be changed to your preferences, just be sure to update the variables for java and apache ant to the appropriate ones!
Peace
