Google - Focus Your Search on a Specific Geographic Location

By using google’s new service you can easily limit your searches to a particular location.

Most of the times I search the web, I just want information–from anywhere. Sometimes, however, I want to know information regarding a particular area.

For example, sending flowers to my mother 12 hours away is a difficult thing to do. Do I spend a dollar calling directory information and request that they just connect me to any florist nearby?

Now, google makes this easy by allowing one to limit their searches by location: http://local.google.com/

For example, by using local.google.com I can search for “flowers” and “44505″ and find several florists in Youngstown, OH.
