1. Open Minesweeper
2. Click on Game
3. Then Click on Custom...
4. Then change the Height to 24
5. Then change the Width to 30
6. Change the number of mines to 10
7. Click on OK
Now, when you click somewhere, all you are going to see is numbered squares of 1's or 2's. And the rest is empty. Then there are going to be unmarked squares in-between a square pattern of 8 "1 and 2" squares. This unmarked square is usually a mine. So just make sure that you don't click in the center of 8 squares. You can pretty much click anywhere else.
After you play a few games you are going to realize that the mines appear in a pattern that is really easy to figure out.
Once you figure out the pattern winning Minesweeper games are going to be super easy.
