Zune 4.0: Prevent Software From Sending Your Usage Data

By default, the Zune 4.0 software sends the software usage data to Microsoft as part of their Zune Experience Program. If you want to keep your usage private, you can disable this by doing the following.

iPod Nano: Add Additional Clock(s) with Different Time Zone(s)

Keeping track of time zones can be a bit of a pain, especially if you have friends in foreign countries. The iPod Nano gives you a convenient fix for this by allowing you to have additional clocks that can display the time with different time zones.

Zune 30 Gig Deaths on 12/31/08

New Year’s Eve 2008 will forever be linked to the day all the Zunes died. Specifically, today was the day that all the 30G zunes with the latest firmware died. The Zune will attempt to boot up and then just freezes. Trying to let the battery run down and hard reset attempts are unsuccessful.

Zune 3.0 Software – Tagging MP4 videos / Sorting Videos into Proper Categories

If your a Zune owner or just a Zune software users (like myself), the new 3.0 updated added a few nice additional features including larger sub-categories for Video ( tv, music, movies, other ) and more metadata options (genre, year, description, etc).

The Zune software can be set up to be very social by allowing everyone to send you messages, view what you are listening to and take a peek at your friends list. You can also limit some or all of these settings so that only your friends have this ability or block everyone from having any or all of these options.
